Norma Helle - Mexico
Norma serves with the Gospel Fellowship Association (GFA) Mission Board. She grew up in the Lima, Ohio, area and was an elementary teacher until called to the mission field in 1969. Norma is a member of Calvary Bible Church. She served for many years at the Mt. Horeb Bible Institute before being led of the Lord to her current ministry of helping the pastor of the Tanquian Church. There she serves in many different capacities to assist in the work, including teaching Bible classes, training others to teach, writing class curricula, conducting VBS, and providing transportation for the nationals to attend church.

The nation’s capital, Mexico City, is one of the largest cities in the world with a population of nearly 10 million people. The vast majority of Mexicans, about 90 percent, are Catholic and speak Spanish. The climate is generally hot and humid, with annual average temperatures of more than 75° F, with average annual rainfall exceeding 80” in some areas. Mexico consists of 31 states and the Distrito Federal (Federal District), which is the seat of the federal administration.
